HOW I became...Erling Haaland

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is a terrifying presence to any opposition, standing at 6'4" (193 cm) tall. The 19-year-old Norwegian inherited the dogged work ethic of his footballing father (Alf-Inge) and it was not long before the 'manchild' burst on to the stage. After a brief period at Bryne FK, where he was able to force himself into the first team at just 15, Haaland moved to Molde, where he worked under coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, before finishing the 2018 season as their top goal scorer. This was followed by a big move to FC Red Bull Salzburg. He felt at ease on the bigger stage, becoming only the second teenager in UEFA Champions League history to score in each of his first three appearances in the competition. It was not long before Dortmund signed Haaland in January 2020. He has quickly established himself in the Bundesliga as one of the deadliest strikers in Europe. We went to Norway to learn more about his roots...
