On 14th June 2020, BVM organised this protest with additional support from BLM LDS.
I parked up out of the city, hopped on a bus and walked towards the square.
It was a scorching hot day, so the organisers had bought in hundreds of bottles of water that were handed out to the peaceful protesters.
They held their homemade banners high, clapping and cheering. The young and old, families, babies in arms. People from all walks of life, united in their support of the #blacklivesmatter movement.
The speakers came to the mic in turn, reciting powerful poetry, giving rousing speeches & performing music. I was proud to count myself among the thousands and thousands that filled Millennium Square and out onto the adjacent streets.
I stayed back afterwards to watch as the protesters dispersed, huge smiles on their faces and hope in their hearts.

Someone will likely mention them in the comments, so if you would like to know more about the "counter protest", that I deliberately left out of the video, you can Google news articles for yourselves...
PLEASE NOTE: I will not acknowledge any comments about protests that happened in different cities IF I WAS NOT THERE. Putting an end to *all* "isms" IS NOT A MATTER OF POLITICS. I reserve the right to remove comments *and commenters* as I see fit.
